Summary of Error Codes
[*] Error Code 80: Indicates an electrical or hardware fault, often related to the camera's internal components, like the image sensor or power supply.
[*] Error Code 0: Points to a software or firmware (communication) issue, which could prevent proper communication between the camera and connected devices.
Simplified Diagnostic Steps for Imager Connection Error
1. Check Power: Ensure the camera or imager is properly powered on and connected to a working outlet. Verify that the power strip or surge protector hasn’t tripped.
2. Power Cycle:
- Turn off the camera by unplugging the power supply (both cables if using an adapter).
- Disconnect the USB cable from the camera or computer.
3. Restart PC: Shut down the computer (don't just restart).
4. Reconnect:
- Reconnect the USB cable securely, ensuring all connections (especially any extension cables) are tight.
- Reconnect the power supply, making sure both ends are firmly connected.
5. Turn On & Test: Power on the computer and relaunch the camera software to check if the error is resolved.
If the Error Persists:
1. Change USB Port: Try a different USB port on the computer.
2. Test USB Extension: Plug another device (like an external hard drive) into the USB extension to ensure the connection works.
3. Switch Outlets: Try a different power outlet or remove the power strip/surge protector.
These errors often stem from the camera's lower USB priority, which may cause communication disruptions when other devices are connected.
